What Is B.E.N.?

Boosters for Errick’s Needs

B. E.N.(Boosters for Errick’s Need, Inc.) is the parent association that supports Errick Road Elementary School. Working together with Errick Road teachers and administrators, the group assists with funding and special events to enhance your child’s elementary education experience. 100% of all funds raised by B.E.N. goes directly back to the school.

Additionally, B.E.N. sponsors events outside the classroom that provide an opportunity for families to have fun together. These events include a family social to kick off the fall book fair and the Loved Ones Dance! These outings provide a great opportunity for the students and their families to meet and come together and to build a stronger school community.

What Do We Do?

Family Socials

B.E.N. provides the opportunity for families to come together and have fun! We have our Fall Social which is Trunk or Treating and Halloween Dance that kicks off our Book Fair, Roller Skating parties, and the Loved Ones Dance.

Educational Opportunities

B.E.N. provides the opportunities for teachers to bring in educational programs to the classroom that mirror the curriculum. Just some of the programs have included Nickel City Reptiles, Hawk Creek Wildlife, and many more.

Merry Moose Holiday Shop

The Merry Moose Holiday Shop is set up in the gym at the beginning of December that gives the students an opportunity to shop for inexpensive gifts for the holidays.

Art Supplies

We provide Mrs. Pavlak with a budget that she can use for extra art supplies for the student projects.

Scholastic News

Through the book fair we earn Scholastic dollars. Using our Scholastic dollars B.E.N. purchases Scholastic News that is used in the classroom as an educational tool. We also use some of the dollars to help refresh our school library and the classroom libraries.

Staff Appreciation Lunch

The Staff Appreciation Lunch is a chance for us to say thank you to all the teachers and staff for all their hard work, by bringing in a catered lunch for the day.

Volunteering

In order for the Errick Road PTO to be a successful organization it is imperative that we have a strong base of volunteers. All of our officer and chair positions are completely voluntary. Without volunteers, all of our great activities would not be possible.

We hope that you would consider giving your time to making our kids' elementary experience a better one. We have many opportunities for you to get involved and personally provide a great place for your kids!

Our PTO meetings are a great place to come see what is going on in the organization, voice your opinion, and get to know other members. Our first meeting is a Welcome Back Social at the school and the rest throughout the year are on zoom so that you can join from the comfort of your own home or wherever you are.

We encourage all of our parents to get involved , even if you can only help out for a small amount of time, every set of hands helps in enormous ways!

How To Join the PTO?

Please support the Errick Road PTO by joining during our PTO Membership Drive! The yearly cost is only $5 per family. The form can be printed out and sent in with either cash/check or paid through venmo. This program helps fund programs for the students, socials, field day, and so much more!

Your membership alone will give us a bigger voice in our school community! Budget programs, school events and volunteer opportunities will be discussed at monthly meetings (attendance is not mandatory). We would love for you to join us at our next meeting and see all the awesome things B.E.N. has to offer! Anyone can Join! Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles!
